Dos and Don'ts for JEE Mains 2014

Do’s:

Ø  Study minimum 3 to 4 hours a day. Last minute preparations won’t work, so start from today.

Ø  Design a plan for whole day and try to follow.

Ø  Make notes while reading.try to summarize in your own words.

Ø  Avoid distractions (phone, television etc.)

Ø  Read and solve NCERT books before solving any other reference material

Ø  Self study is most important for JEE.

Ø  Take up concise course module.

Ø  Join a mock test series, testing yourself helps to identify areas where you need to work more.

Ø  Keep a positive attitude.

Ø  Believe in yourself. 

Ø  Having a clear concept is most important .Try to build your knowledge concept wise.

Ø  Concentrate on each topic. Make routine of every subject.

Ø  Whatever is being taught to you in school or in a tuition-based learning environment, immediately revise it once you're back home. 

Ø  Create your own strategy during study/test series and follow it.

Ø  Memorize all the formulae.

Ø  Before going for the examination hall, do keep your admit card, pens, pencils etc.

Don’ts:

Ø  Avoid irregularity. Don't keep your work pending. 

Ø   Do not start with reference books during the initial days; try to clear the concepts first through NCERT.

Ø  Don’t study the entire night as you will feel stressed during exam time.

Ø   Don’t miss any topic; try to cover up the syllabus.

Ø  Try to learn under guidance of a tutor with small group of student, so that you can get individual attention.

Ø  Don’t mug- up things, try to have clear concepts.

Ø  Be balanced, don’t Lose confidence, or be over confident.
